Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I’m based in Los Angeles, but we’ll do our sessions online through a secure video platform.

As long as you’re in California, we can work together!

How long are sessions?

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes.

Do you accept insurance?

No, I’m an out-of-network provider.

I don’t accept insurance because insurance companies can limit the number of sessions and types of treatment they cover, potentially compromising my ability to provide you with the most appropriate and effective care possible.

I’m not okay with that.

How do I schedule an appointment?

It’s easy! You can reach out through the button below, phone, or email, and we’ll find a convenient time for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

A cancellation fee will be applied if you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice or miss an appointment without prior notification.

I understand unexpected situations like illnesses or emergencies can arise. Exceptions can be made when communicated promptly.

With what age range do you work?

I work with adults (18+) for individual therapy.

I also work with children and adolescents (12-18) for mental health workshops.

With whom do you work?

I work with individuals (not couples) of all genders and orientations, including women, men, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. My practice is inclusive and welcoming to all clients, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

If you need a couple’s therapist, I will happily refer you to a trusted professional to assist you further.

What modalities do you use?

I use a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Trauma-Focused (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and others.

My specific approach depends on your concerns and goals, and we’ll work together to determine which modality or combination of modalities is most suitable for your therapy journey.

Do your clients receive assignments between sessions?

Yes, in some cases, you may receive assignments or tasks to work on between sessions. These assignments are designed to reinforce and apply the skills and insights gained during therapy sessions.

These assignments can vary widely, depending on your goals and the therapeutic approach.

Before assigning anything, we’ll discuss and agree on the most appropriate tasks to support your progress and growth.

Which dance company is your favorite?

The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre… hands down!

What’s your favorite color?

Green!

For one, it’s beautiful. I also appreciate its connection to nature, growth, renewal, hope, balance, harmony, calmness, and relaxation.

Netflix or YouTube?
Netflix! I love to binge-watch a good series.
