About Me

AdminHow I became a therapist…

You’d probably never guess I started my career as a professional dancer in the entertainment industry!

I then started working in a corporate atmosphere for a television production company. There I was, sitting at my desk at my nine-to-five, staring out the window and thinking, “This can’t be my life.”

From that moment, I began rediscovering myself, reflecting on the highs and lows of my life in the entertainment industry. I realized that what animated my life was dance, creativity, and helping others navigate their mental and emotional well-being in the creative space.

I took a bold step and decided to move into a more meaningful and fulfilling career that aligned with my values, interests, and aspirations.

Some of my education, training, and experience…

I got my bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with a concentration in psychology from Antioch University (Los Angeles) and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from The University of Southern California (USC – Fight on!). I then became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

Since then, I’ve worked with school-aged children and adults with moderate and persistent mental illness in the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Department of Mental Health Outpatient Clinics, and now my practice.

My life experience and mental health training have equipped me to establish strong bonds with my clients and a practice that always puts their goals and interests first.

When I’m not in session…

I find my balance through various activities that rejuvenate me. Dancing is my ultimate form of self-care, joy, excitement, and happiness. It gives me a sense of liberation. I also enjoy working out on the Peloton or at the gym.

Spending quality time with my husband, family, and friends is non-negotiable; they provide me with support and cherished moments of connection.

And, of course, there’s Netflix. I love binge-watching some of my favorite shows on Netflix. It’s my way to unwind and recharge. Who doesn’t love a good Netflix series?

All these things help me bring my best self to our sessions and offer you the support you deserve.
